santa fe

my trip has been really amazing so far! i am staying at the santa fe int'l hostel and have met some really lovely girls out here. it's been hard doing 'school work' because i am realizing there is not much here i'd like to take back with me in the camera, but i am having a good time being with other people who like the road. we went to las vegas, nm yesterday for the hot springs and had an intense dinner there. everyone is just so nice and i am addicted to seeing everything. seeing all the brown houses, red dirt, dust on snow, big mountains, empty sky, and mean sun.

it's off season here so the plaza is pretty empty on weekends, and the towns people seem bored. there have been some people here that act like it's not so good to be from out of town. but there are also the kind that are use to all sorts of people moving in and loving santa fe for the long trail. it's hard to just stay in santa fe. i want to go to taos, truchas and abiquiu before i leave.

we will just have to see because i have a couple of days left before i go back home and then back to school. i am trying to manage how i'll do all the things i want to do when im at home also. but my head is in the now which means dinner and greeting annie and raymond when they get here!

cooper is stuck in idaho trapped by loud winter, but it will be great to see him when i am do- there are just so many things to be excited about! ah, the world as my big experiment, i love it!
